All water is flavored by minerals, unless it has been stripped by distilling, processed by reverse-osmosis or particle filtered. Totally stripped water doesn't taste good. Adding back minerals will flavor the water, but not all minerals are desirable. Magnesium is a bitter salt mineral. Calcium adds substance, but not a large amount of flavor.
